> Corporate profile

The Enterprise has been founded to be the leader of the nascent "Industry of Microelectronics Design", a hardly understood market emerging between the Service sector and the Fabrication sector of Integrated Circuits.

The company’s Capital funding amounts to € 1,277,120. Its major shareholders are the founders' families and numerous employees, but the company has performed its IPO on the OTC of EuroNext in March 2003 and the stock has been transferred onto the regulated market of Alternext in April 2007.

Stock Options had been widely encouraged over the years for essential employees, providing a significant motivator, which has contributed to achieving a 30 % compounded annual growth rate over the five years before the 2002 recession then a strong resilience to the crisis, and a healthy rebound of growth since then.

The listing reference on EuroNext is ALDOL.

As a principle, the DOLPHIN Group owns 100 % of its subsidiaries, now counting DOLPHIN Integration GmbH and SCI DOLPHIN.
Profitability has remained healthy throughout the semiconductor cycles, debt is minimal and cash-flow is tightly managed, as proven by the Sales Turnover enabled around 12 M€.

Employees now number about 170, resulting from a steady growth with a yearly average of 42 persons in fiscal 1997, and 113 throughout fiscal 2000. They originate from all parts of the world, adding a special openness to the corporate culture: from China, Japan, the USA, Maghreb, Russia, as well as from overseas islands…

The Board of Directors is comprised of two of the founders, now Chief Officers, CIO for Innovation and CTO for Technical Orientation, in addition to the Executive Chairman, and of four independent directors of international stature:

  • Professor Günter ZIMMER, founder and former Head of the Fraunhofer Institute IMS in Duisburg,
  • GianCarlo ZANNI, former Vice-President of sales for Thomson Microelectronics then Apple-Europe, and as such former Director of ARM Holdings,
  • Bernard CHAPELET, Professor of Marketing at the Grenoble School of Business Management, and
  • Viviane NEITER, co-chairperson of the Association for the Promotion of Individual Shareholders (APAI).

Its Scientific Committee, also international, includes:

The founders’ team is sturdy:

Chairman Michel Depeyrot, Supelec (Paris, 1963) and Stanford PhD (1968), with a five year managerial experience at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Massachusetts in the seventies, then VP of IC Development at Thomson Microelectronics;
the Chief Officers' pair of CIO Jean-François Pollet and COO Louis Zangara, both formerly at Thomson Microelectronics, now manage respectively Innovation Processes and for Project Development, either as internal IP or as customer consulting.

They share an entrepreneurial experience of about twenty-five years together, but have proven their capability to assimilate newcomers, especially experienced Marketing Managers for high-tech products:

  • Lucille ENGELS, Business Manager for the activity HARMONIE of SoC Integration and the Fabless supply of custom circuits, centered on the ROCK 'N ROLL line of Microprocessors 8051/251 with 8 and 16 bits for mixed Control and Signal Processing, and for peripheral control,

  • Gilles DEPEYROT, Business Manager for the activity of "Missing EDA Links" MEDAL™ including Solutions for layout and for the SMASH™ line of simulation, avec Lars VOSSKÄMPER for the SAXO line of MEMS modeling and their associated EDA, in the German subsidiary of Duisburg, all promoted by Lucile REY DE NARDO,

  • Audrey ABBA, Business Manager for the activity SYMPHONIE of libraries including the line of "Retargetable Array Generators", RAGTime RAMs and ROMs, promoted by Nirupama NAVLE and the stems of standard cells SESAME, forerunner of Reduced Cell Stem Libraries, promoted by Matthias BORCIER,

  • Christophe GAILLARD, Business Manager for the offering JAZZ of components for high resolution processing for mixed signals at Audio frequencies, with Yves GAGNON for the product line PRELUDE of embedded Power Management Units, in the Canadian subsidiary in Montreal, all promoted by Marie MAUREL

Major linguistic areas are endowed with a regional sales manager and sales coordinators:

Frédéric RENOUX, with Chia-Lin LEE for Chinese-speaking Asia, Li-Lin YANG for Taiwan and Xiaoyan LI for Northern China, Ying ZHAO for Southern China and Singapore, Sayaka KAN for Japan, Na-rae JUNG for Southern Korea and Christopher REMY for Northern Europe.
