Quick and intuitive
Providing an integrated GDSII library browser, SoC GDS View enables quick and easy visualization of layouts through a streamlined user interface providing all the expected viewing capabilities. Navigating through multiple layouts, whether small control structures or very large circuits (more than 2 GB where supported by the underlying operating system), is natural and intuitive using the multi-window graphic user interface of SoC GDS.
SoC GDS View benefits from advanced configurable speed rendering techniques, both incremental and resolution dependent, which, coupled with the interruptible display, guarantee that you never get blocked waiting for a lengthy graphical operation to terminate. The fluid panning and zooming capabilities associated with the hierarchic browser guarantee easy navigation within cells of arbitrary size and complexity.
Tolerant to minor GDSII format errors, SoC GDS View flexibly integrates into design chains allowing visualization of compressed and uncompressed GDSII files both under Unix and Microsoft Windows.
> Load multiple compressed or raw GDSII libraries
Using an editor – or a cheap “cut-down” version of an editor – to display cells is always slow: editors require a stream-in cycle and are not tuned for large cells. SoC GDS View natively loads compressed or uncompressed GDSII archives of arbitrary size without an intermediate “stream-in” phase, so load and display is extremely fast and no disk space is wasted.
> Cadence display configuration conversion
SoC GDS View’s integrated Cadence display configuration conversion tool guarantees quick integration into your existing flow without time-consuming and error-prone manual configuration. The configuration conversion tool integrates directly into Cadence Design Framework and provides direct generation of SoC GDS configuration files for complete compatibility with existing Cadence Design Kits.
> Layer display attribute configuration
All layer display attributes, including fill (style and color), line (style and color) and rendering order, are configurable through SoC GDS View’s integrated editor, or may be edited “by hand” in the human-readable configuration files. These same display attributes are also generated by the Cadence display configuration conversion tool.
> Any angle geometry, text and instances
Unlike most other GDSII viewers, SoC GDS View places no artificial restrictions on the contents of your GDSII libraries, supporting not only any-angle geometry and free rotations but unlimited hierarchical depth, arbitrary length cell names and unrestricted polygon point counts.
> User Marks and Measures
Simply display of geometry is not enough, SoC GDS View provides powerful user marks as well as measuring capabilities to complement the standard viewing features.
> Interoperability
Running under Solaris, HP-UX, Linux and Windows, using SoC GDS View at any stage in your design flow will boost your productivity. SoC GDS delivers the same ergonomics and performance across all your development and delivery platforms. |
